Coin atelier · the coin in motion

Struck to last.

Every wave mints a numbered coin. One 45.0 mm brass die, spun through the metals, finishes, and edges. Reeded rim and full four-digit year, ready for the mint and the Bambu print farm. This is the production reference the die is drawn against.

The direct answer

The Coin Atelier is the design and production reference for every Hoard coin. One 45.0 mm brass die, 3.5 mm thick with a raised beaded rim, is struck across twelve platform metals and four finishes: struck metal, proof, antique, and holographic foil. The edge is specified as plain, reeded (104 reeds), or lettered, the relief is held to 0.45 mm, and hand-off templates ship the die obverse and reverse to a mint or a Bambu 3D-print farm. Every coin carries its full four-digit year, 2026, and ships with a physical twin.

Four ways to strike it.

The same coin, four production finishes. The holographic foil shifts colour and throws a restrained glitch, while the engraving stays struck on top and fully legible.

The edge

Where minting lives.

The edge is the part most coin art forgets, and where a mint or a print farm needs the most direction. Plain, reeded, or lettered, specified once and unrolled flat.

The strike

Relief & cross-section.

How proud the devices stand, how deep the field sits, and the draft every wall needs to release from a die or lift off a print bed.

For your designers

Hand-off templates.

Drop these under any artwork. The live device is ghosted beneath the production guides so a designer can draw straight over them, then hand a mint or the Bambu farm a sheet that just works. A print-ready PDF ships in the kit.

Questions, answered

Coin atelier, in plain terms.

What is the Coin Atelier

The design and production reference for every Hoard coin: one 45.0 mm brass die, struck across twelve metals and four finishes, with the edge, relief, and hand-off templates a mint or a print farm needs to strike or print it.

How many metals and finishes are there

Twelve metals (gold, silver, platinum, rose gold, bronze, copper, blue steel, cobalt, green patina, amethyst, crimson, onyx) and four finishes (struck metal, proof, antique, holographic). All are the same die.

Can a coin be 3D printed as well as struck

Yes. Every coin ships with a physical twin printed on The Hoard's Bambu farm, held to a 0.08 mm layer height and a 0.45 mm minimum relief, delivered as a watertight STL and STEP mesh.

Do coins always show the full year

Always. Every die carries its full four-digit year on the face, 2026, never an abbreviation, so the record reads clean in fifty years.

Keep going

It all feeds the record.
